Vothonas Village

Vothonas is a village of Santorini, located 3.3 km southeast of Fira.

Most of the settlement is a cave: the villagers dug their homes on the walls of a ravine of five kilometers long, which was facilitated by the volcanic underground. The name of the village comes from this ravine.

Near the village are the churches of Agia Triada, Agia Anna and the church of Panagia of 18th century.
